Jan Popłoński, Odra (1977)

Published in Polish, English and German, the book tells a propagandist story of the modernisation of communist Poland, with extensive captions accompanying the photographs. As Popłoński made his way along the Odra River, which marks the Polish-German border, he photographed industrial and cultural centres, picturesque villages and small towns, untamed nature and, above all, the river itself.
