One of the first albums planned as a series and devoted to Polish landscape photography, the publication accompanied an exhibition which made quite a name for itself, “Krajobraz Polski” (The Polish Landscape), held by Polskie Towarzystwo Krajoznawcze (the Polish Tourism Society; PTK) in Warsaw in 1912. Compiled by the editors of the PTK’s monthly magazine, “Ziemia” (Earth), it was intended for the general public and was designed to be accessible and popularise the topic, but maintain high editorial standards.
