The book was created during a two-month stay in Paris during the Nova Polska season in 2004. Over that period, Bodzianowski created eight documentary performance art pieces in the form of films and books. He photographed himself at iconic sites like the Île de la Cité and Jardin des Plantes as he carried out his discreet and absurd actions, like smelling flowers while wearing a pet cone.
