The album is one of a popular exoteric series, “Sztuka i kultura świata starożytnego” (The Art and Culture of the Ancient World). It presents the ruins of the ancient town of Palmyra, discovered by Polish archaeologists, among others. The ruins show the combination of influences flowing from Hellenic art and the indigenous, Aramaic traditions. The book contains black-and-white photographs of the ruins of urban complexes, architecture, sculptures and architectural details.
