The album contains fifteen photographs chosen in a competition held in 1908 and devoted to photos of old Krakow. It was organised by the Society of Krakowian History and Historical Sites Enthusiasts in conjunction with the Krakow Amateur Photographers’ Society. The shots, which are the work of professional and amateur photographers, are an example of early topographic documentation.
The publishing house was run by Józef Muczkowski. The plates were made by the Tadeusz Jabłoński i sp. photographic studio.
