The album opens with photographs of Warsaw razed by the ravages of war, but quickly moves on to show Poland’s capital rebuilt and pulsing with life, with historical sites, modern architecture and Varsovians enjoying their free time. This is photography in the modern aesthetic, with the artist boldly using shadow and a centrefold layout, building a new image of Warsaw.
