Henryk Lisowski, Zieleń Warszawy (1956)

The album presents Warsaw’s most important parks and green spaces. There are historical places like the Łazienki Royal Gardens, the Saxon Garden and the Wilanów Park and Gardens. There are also newly created spaces; Park Kultury na Bielanach (the Cultural Park in the Bielany district) and the Centrala Park Kultury (Central Cultural Park), now the Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigły Park. The book, which is entirely black-and-white, depicts not only the eponymous greenery, but also historical sites, street furniture and people enjoying their free time.
