Rafał Milach, Szare (2002)

Milach’s first photobook is a work of subjective photojournalism presenting the Silesian agglomeration as seen in its public spaces, the courtyards of old apartment houses and outdoor areas around other multiple family dwellings, and its wastelands. There is a particular focus on the photographer’s hometown, Gliwice. The album is a grainy, black-and-white documentary.
