Zygmunt Gloger

Zygmunt Gloger was born in the north-eastern village of Tybory-Kamianka in 1845 and he died in Warsaw in 1910. An archaeologist, historian, ethnographer and folklorist, with a profound and extensive knowledge of his country, his books on the culture of Old Poland are considered required reading to this day. He was a co-founder of the Polskie Towarzystwo Krajoznawcze (Polish Tourism Society) and its first president.
