The book, which was published to mark the fifth Berlin Biennale, portrays nameless interiors and views of Berlin, including Museum Island, the entrance to the metro on Alexander Platz and the Kunst-Werke, or KW Institute for Contemporary Art. Some of the photographs present performance art works given directly to the camera, with Bodzianowski lying down on elements of street furniture, hiding behind a tree, seemingly propping up the wall of a building and embodying the statue in Arnold Böcklin’s “Island of the Dead”.
