A monumental publication devoted to the country’s mining industry and depicting its development during the era of the communist People’s Republic of Poland, the book tells an epic tale of coal, upon which the then modern cultural, scientific and economic abundance that was socialist prosperity, was built. In addition to original works, there are also photographs from official press organisations and institutional archives.
