Wacław Biliński, writer, journalist, screenwriter and photographer, was born in 1921 in Lwów, now Lviv in Ukraine, and died in Łódź in 1999. Having settled there in 1949, he was an active participant in the cultural life of the city and was involved professionally with Profil, a partially autonomous film studio, and a regional weekly, “Odgłosy”.
