Michał Diament was born in east-central town of Skarżysko-Kamienna in 1935 and he died in the south-western city of Wrócław in 1977. A photographer and creator of unique glass art, he graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, where he went on to work in the Interfaculty Photography Department. In his photographic work, he experimented with rasterising and with colour photography. A number of his glass objects were created solely to serve his photographic purposes. He joined the Związek Polskich Artystów Fotografików (Union of Polish Art Photographers) in 1966 and was also a member of the Związek Polskich Artystów Plastyków (Association of Polish Visual Artists).
