The fifth volume of a planned series by Bułhak himself, the book shows the wide cultural context of his photography and its roots in the landscapes of the Vilnius region. Devoted to preserving the traditional, manorial landscapes of the Vilnius region, it contains twenty photographs which depict the exteriors and interior of the seats of the landed gentry, along with their settings.

The text and illustration for this book were printed on chalk-coated art paper from the J. Franaszek, Sp. Akc. factory in Warsaw. The original illustrations were created by Bułhak on bromide paper produced by a Polish manufacturer, Alfa, in the north-central city of Bydgoszcz. The plates for the illustration were the work of Feliks Zaniewski’s zincography works in Vilnius.
