The book provides a documentary panorama of the transformation in Poland which began with the fall of communism in 1989. The black-and-white and colour photos are drawn from Forecki’s photojournalism works and comprise an original story of Poland’s social and cultural metamorphoses.
The book was selected as the 2019 Grand Press Photo Book of the Year. It was also a finalist in the Photography Book of the Year category of the 2019 Pictures of the Year International photojournalism competition.
