The book is a subjectively laid out atlas of architectural forms deriving from the tradition of Modernism and the International Style. The selection of photos documenting the architecture of the world is drawn from Grospierre’s archive, which was twenty years in the making. Iconic buildings are juxtaposed with vernacular, indigent and anonymous forms.
A second edition was issued as a paperback and in a smaller format.
